About the Air Force

The Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) is responsible for the defense of Dutch airspace and supports international peacekeeping and humanitarian missions worldwide. The Air Force operates a modern fleet of aircraft including fighter jets, transport aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Mission

Our primary mission is to protect the sovereignty of Dutch airspace, provide air support to ground and naval forces, and participate in international coalitions to maintain global peace and security.

Capabilities

The Royal Netherlands Air Force maintains a high level of readiness with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel. Our capabilities include air defense, tactical air support, strategic airlift, aerial refueling, and search and rescue operations.
