About the Navy
The Koninklijke Marine (Royal Navy) is one of the oldest naval forces in the world, with a proud history dating back centuries. Today, we operate a modern fleet of surface vessels, submarines, and maritime patrol aircraft to protect Dutch waters and maritime interests worldwide.
Mission
Our mission is to defend the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its allies, protect maritime trade routes, provide humanitarian assistance, combat piracy and drug trafficking, and contribute to international peacekeeping and security operations at sea.
Fleet & Operations
The Royal Navy operates advanced frigates, submarines, patrol vessels, and support ships. Our personnel are trained to the highest standards and regularly participate in NATO operations, international exercises, and humanitarian missions around the globe.
